The same brewing parameters can be observed when brewing loose leaf teas in the strainer or the tea pot so long as you maintain the same amount and control of temperature of your filtered water and of course the measure of tea. The design of the strainer is designed to sit comfortably over a 5, 6 or 8 ounce paper cup and sit’s down into the cup allowing the leaves to be fully submerged.
