Tea Journeys has a committment to protect the environment. We dont just love to ride bikes and keep the air clean, believe us, after years of living in China we RESPECT the clean blue skies and appreciate all the policies to keep our skies nice and blue. To do our small part we collect all boxes from secure and trustworthy sources at a collection point. Thats right, not “recycled” but “reused” packing supplies that are clean/hygienic and safe, we believe that this repurposing process of reusing is even more effective at reducing unnecessary carbon emissions into the atmosphere that. We choose to “resolve” this dilemma about all the waste that goes into shipping packing in this way and we would encourage our customers to do the same. So when you box shows up claiming “Dark Chocolate” and not tea, don’t fret, it’s just a reloved box been put to good use before filling our waste pits.
Shipping products to you
At Tea Journeys we want you to have affordable, fair and fast shipping options. Like you we also love to shop online, this is why we ship your order fast, charge a flat rate per order and give you the choice between:
Standard Post – $6.95 (3-7 business days)
Express Post – $9.95 (1-3 business days)
(Retail only, wholesale orders are subject to different rates, these times may vary depending on your location)

Freight Pricing Parity
Individual tea samples incur a fee of $10 to cover the freight and orders over $150 are delivered free. (East Coast customers only). For wholesale orders for business’, Tea Journeys offers the following:
Zone A: Eastern sea board of Australia FREE freight for min. orders of $150
Zone B: Western QLD, South Australia, Tasmania, NT, WA a surcharge of $15 per order with min. orders of $150
Zone C: Bali, Singapore Min. Freight charge of $170 Min. orders of $500 Max. of 50KG
Zone D: Hong Kong and Philippines Min.Freight charge of $280 Min. orders of $500 Max. of 50KG
Zone E: Other International order – Write to email@example.com
All decisions are subject to Tea Journeys Management decision. All wholesale requests and orders require approval before granted freight access.
Same Day Order Dispatch
We know it is important for you to receive your order quickly so all orders made before 2pm EST are dispatched the same day! (Mon-Fri excl. public holidays). Orders made after this time will be dispatched the next day. (excludes wholesale)
You will receive notification via email when your order is shipped and we will give you a tracking number so that you can track your order online at Australia Post. By default all orders from Tea Journeys require a signature on delivery, this ensures security and peace of mind that you will receive your order.
*If you are at work during weekdays, we recommend that you have your order delivered to your workplace if possible
Parcels returned to Tea Journeys by post office
If for any reason your order is sent back to our offices by Australia Post, for example you gave us an incorrect address or failed to collect your parcel, you will have to pay to have your parcel re-sent.
Authority to leave
Usually if you are not home to receive your order Australia Post will leave your order at the nearest post shop for collection and a card will be left in your letterbox. If you have given permission for an item to be left if your premises is unattended we can not be held responsible for lost or missing items. It is up to the judgement of Australia Post as to whether or not your parcel will be left unattended even when authority to leave is granted.
You may return all new, unopened items within 7 days of delivery for a refund or store credit (shipping costs are non-refundable). We will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect item, etc.) otherwise it is your responsibility to organise return shipping.
You should expect to receive your refund within 2 weeks of returning your item, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return, the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it, and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request.

You can exhange all new, unopened products within 14 days of delivery. It is your responsibilty to organise return shipping to us and to also pay shipping costs of the exchanged item back out to you.
If you live in Sydney you can choose to pick up your order from our Tea Tasting Room in Northbridge. Just place your order online and choose the “pick up” option at the shipping stage of checkout. This will save you time and money! We will email you when your order is ready to pick up with further instructions, this will be within 24hrs (Mon-Fri, Ex. Public Holidays) (please note that our office is only for pickup orders placed online, we cannot take orders in person) Orders not collected after 2 months will be cancelled and the order refunded minus a $10 restocking fee.
Is your website secure enough for me to enter my payment information?
Absolutely. At Tea Journeys we also order various products ourselves on line. We put ourselves in your shoes. Saying this, we respect your private information, just like we want to be respected by suppliers when we have to purchase ourselves. Therefore we invest a lot of time and money into our website to ensure that it is safe for you to purchase without any worries. We use PayPal as a secure payment processor and you will be redirected through their website for payment, allowing completely secure payment processing. Whether you prefer to shop on your computer or on your mobile, your information is always protected.
