Organic decaf "tea" known as Honey Bush

Rooibos is a plant from South Africa known as the 'Red Bush.' Its appearance as a whole is not dissimilar to that of a lemongrass bush. When harvested, the plant's grassy shoots are chopped down and then left to wither and finally oxidize, giving the Rooibos as we know it, its final bronzed colour feel. Rooibos is one tisane that is great when consumed both hot and cold.

The flavour profile of Roasted Rooibos is a full-bodied malty flavour that resounds most with people who enjoy a hearty black tea but are looking for a less caffeinated experience. Rooibos is one of the highest yielding botanicals containing anti-oxidant rates that are higher than any other tea. It is helpful in counteracting the harmful effects of radiation caused by the myriad of digital screens and interfaces we use every day in our busy working lives.

Rooibos tea is naturally caffeine-free because the plant it derives from contains no caffeine, unlike traditional black and green teas.

Tea Journeys difference
Our Herbal Industry Standard
Always Fresh shipped from origin direct Often stale, herbs are NOT direct from origin but rather through large global buyers that remain in enormous distribution centres
Organic whereby constituting superior quality Not all organic means better! Some organic produced by big business remains inferior in quality
Blends are designed to be similar in botanic size ensuring effective transfer of flavour with water infusion Often mismatched leaf/botanic sizes as not sourced and blended for quality
No pre-dehydrated fruits are used we only use all-natural dried fruits Often dehydrated fruits that are used in blends are flavourless and re-hydrated with flavour mists to replicate the original flavour
