Tea Journeys difference
Our Herbal
Industry Standard
Always Fresh shipped from origin direct
Often stale, herbs are NOT direct from origin but rather through large global buyers that remain in enormous distribution centres
Organic whereby constituting superior quality
Not all organic means better! Some organic produced by big business remains inferior in quality
Blends are designed to be similar in botanic size ensuring effective transfer of flavour with water infusion
Often mismatched leaf/botanic sizes as not sourced and blended for quality
No pre-dehydrated fruits are used we only use all-natural dried fruits
Often dehydrated fruits that are used in blends are flavourless and re-hydrated with flavour mists to replicate the original flavour
The Story
The earthiness of rooibos, citrusy notes of lemongrass, warmth from ginger, floral tones of chamomile, and sweetness from stevia offer a complex and delightful tea experience. Rooibos, or "red bush," is native to South Africa. It has a rich history among the indigenous people of the region who used it for its potential health benefits. Lemongrass is a popular herb for making herbal teas, valued for its refreshing taste and aromatic qualities. Ginger is often associated with potential anti-inflammatory and digestive benefits. It adds depth, warmth, and a subtle kick to the flavour profile. Chamomile tea is widely consumed, appreciated for its mild, floral flavour and relaxation-inducing effects. Stevia is a plant native to South America and is known for its sweet leaves. Stevia is often used as a natural sweetener in teas, providing sweetness without added calories. Our Sleepy Time blend is crafted with only the finest ingredients, and reflects a creative combination of diverse flavours, aromas, and potential health benefits.

How long does your tea stay fresh?
Short answer. It depends on the tea and how it is stored.
To keep your teas fresh, always store them well-sealed in a cool, dry, and dark place and generally as a guideline we recommend consuming within 3 years of purchase.
How much caffeine is there in a cup of tea?
The caffeine content of tea varies depending on factors like water temperature and steeping time. On average:
Black tea: 40-70 mg per cup
Green tea: 20-45 mg per cup
Oolong tea: 30-50 mg per cup
White tea: 15-30 mg per cup
Yellow tea: 30-50 mg per cup
Herbal: 0 mg (naturally caffeine-free)

Game changer
I’ve never understood our camping buddies not liking Lapsang Souchong. After all they all say how much they like getting home and finding all there clothes smell of smoke.
Recently introduced Golden Goose into the mix and it captured some interest. There is hope for them yet.

I am really enjoying my sticky chai….. especially the ginger flavour which gives me the taste I like to identify.
I often use my diffuser in a mug rather than the infusion bottle and that works well if I just want a mug of chai just for myself.
I have samples to try and I want to try a chilled chai as well. I’m on a ‘tea adventure’
